1. Introduction
IntelliDU Inc. ("IntelliDU," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website (www.intellidu.com), mobile applications, and services (collectively, the "Platform").
We are headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, and comply with PIPEDA, Quebec's Law 25 (for Quebec residents), the GDPR (for EU/UK residents), and other applicable privacy legislation.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide directly
Account registration data (name, email, phone, encrypted password, country, target test date, preferred language, and securely-processed payment information); profile information (photo, educational background, IELTS history, study goals); content you create (essays, speaking recordings, test answers, notes, and messages); and your communications with support.
2.2 Information collected automatically
Usage data such as device/browser info, IP address and approximate location, pages visited, time spent, navigation patterns, and session frequency. We use session, preference, analytics, and marketing cookies — you can control these in your browser, though disabling some may limit functionality.
2.3 Information from third parties
Connected social-media profiles, payment-processor confirmations, analytics providers, and marketing partners.
3. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account, process payments, provide automated evaluation and feedback (Writing/Speaking practice band), deliver personalised study plans, enable communication with instructors, and track your progress.
3.2 Improvement & development
To analyse usage patterns, train and refine our automated evaluation models, develop new tools, and research learning effectiveness.
3.3 Communication
To send Platform updates, provide support, share educational content, deliver promotional offers (with your consent), and request feedback.
3.4 Legal & security
To prevent fraud, enforce our Terms & Conditions, comply with legal obligations, and protect our rights.

- Legal obligation — we must process data to comply with laws.

6. Data Retention
We retain personal information while your account is active, while needed to provide services, and as required by law or to resolve disputes. Specific retention periods:
7. Your Privacy Rights & Data Deletion
Wherever you live, you can ask us to do any of the following. You never need to give a reason, and we do not charge for these requests.
- Access — receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct — fix information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete — erase your account and the personal information linked to it (see 7.1).
- Port — receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent — opt out of marketing at any time, without affecting your account.
- Complain — raise a concern with your local privacy regulator. In Canada, that is the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
7.1 How to delete your account and your data
Full instructions are on our Delete Your Account and Data page. In short: email info@intellidu.com from the address registered on your account, using the subject line Account Deletion Request. We confirm the request within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
Deletion removes your profile, your practice submissions, your audio recordings, your study plan, and any social login connection — such as Google or Facebook — linked to your account.
If you signed in with Google or Facebook and only want to disconnect that provider without deleting your account, say so in your email and we will unlink it instead.
